Otto the Book Bear, Review

Otto the Book Bear by Kate Cleminson

We love books that entice you to get lost in them.  We even did a whole  Book Flight: Go Inside a Book.  So we were intrigued to read about Otto and his adventures.  This is a bear who wanders OUT of a book and can’t find it to get back in! Otto lives in a very fine book and is most happy when his story is being read.  But secretly, he also comes alive when the pages of his book are closed and no one is looking.  One day, though, while he is out in the world on his adventures, someone accidentally takes the book away and poor Otto has to find a new home.  He misses his warm book–but does manage to find just the right home.  The picture book is made even more charming by the beautiful soft illustrations that entice you into Otto’s book–and make you feel like you’re by his side on his journeys.  This is a book for book lovers!
