Why Read: Hannah Poff

Ladies and Gentlemen –
Reading is an adventure.  Words spill fluidly out of books and give you a new experience every time you pick a new one up.  Reading is almost like a new life that you get to dive into.  One book in particular called The Secret Princess.
This book has really impacted me because it showed me that life isn’t as hard as it seems and that it can only get better.  The author wrote later in the book, after Michelle got home from a battle hurt and heartbroken that, “life may be tough.  But, I just need to look up to the stars and know that things can only go up from here.”
That really helped me understand the idea that life really can go up.  And that’s why reading is my escape.  You should always turn to reading in a time of sadness.
